Introduction
Indulge in the epitome of Chinese green tea with our Imperial West Lake Dragon Well (Longjing) Supreme Green Tea. Harvested from Longjing Village in the West Lake region, this tea is steeped in history and celebrated for its premium quality. Plucked before the Qingming Festival, only the freshest, most tender buds make it to your cup.
Geographic Origin
Grown in Longjing Village at an elevation of 400 meters (1,312 feet) along the 30° N “Golden Tea Belt,” the region’s high altitude and mineral-rich soil provide the perfect terroir for exceptional green tea. Slower leaf growth at this altitude enhances flavor and nutrients, delivering a tea of unmatched quality.
Climatic Conditions
The area’s subtropical monsoon climate offers mild temperatures, frequent mist, and abundant rainfall, naturally protecting the delicate buds from harsh sunlight. These ideal conditions enrich the tea with antioxidants like polyphenols and catechins, creating a refreshing, subtly sweet flavor.
Historical Significance
With over 1,200 years of history, Dragon Well tea is a cultural treasure. According to legend, Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty visited Longjing Village and designated 18 tea bushes as imperial trees, a heritage reflected in every sip of our tea.
Artisan Crafting Process
Producing this tea requires skill and precision. Approximately 35,000 buds are handpicked before Qingming to create just 500 grams of tea. Seasoned artisans pan-fire the leaves to preserve their vibrant color, chestnut aroma, and tender flavor, making every brew a sensory delight.
Health Benefits
Rich in antioxidants, our Dragon Well Green Tea supports heart health, combats free radicals, and boosts immunity. High levels of L-theanine enhance mental clarity and relaxation, making it perfect for mindfulness. Additionally, it promotes metabolism and assists in weight management.
Sustainability and Ethical Sourcing
Our tea is grown organically, free from pesticides, and supports sustainable farming practices. By honoring traditional methods, we help preserve biodiversity and empower local farmers, ensuring a pure and ethical product.
